July 2012 Newsletter

Special July Announcements

With great excitement and heartfelt congratulations, we wanted to share that Teacher Lauren & family are expecting their second child this coming December!  Lauren will be taking a much-deserved two months paid maternity leave following her baby's birth.  Lauren and Emmy will find a substitute teacher while Lauren is on her maternity leave.  Families will be kept well informed about these exciting developments!  Please feel free to pass your congratulations her way (Gregory is so excited to be a big brother!).

As added excitement, our Klahanie classes will be moved to our new Klahanie School House this Autumn 2012!  With the addition of a bathroom, we will be able to transition our school program directly to our beautiful new School House! Please look for upcoming school emails regarding the grand opening and celebration!  Feel free to take a moment during drop-off or pick-up to check out the weekly developments of our little School House.  Thank you to all the hard work our Kellow/Graham family has contributed to the manifestation of this dream fully taking shape!

July Class Topics

  • Continent of Oceania: a wonderful exploration of Australia and surrounding islands during their winter months.
  • Water, Sea Life and Beaches

  • 2012-2013 School Year: We have 2 spots remaining for our AM class and 2 spots available for our PM class, please share with friends and ask that they email or call for school information!  We need to fill these spots.  Thank you for your help!
  • Congratulations to the Bennett family on the healthy birth of their beautiful Dena Napora Bennett, born on June 14!

Enjoy the June pictures of our fantastic AM and PM classes!  We will miss those classmates who are moving to other adventures during the summer months but will always hold them tenderly and joyously in our hearts and thoughts.  We hope to have everyone back together for our end of the year Graduation celebration on Saturday August 18, where we ceremonially end our school year and welcome the freshness of what the 2012-2013 school year is bound to bring!  Plus parents/grandparents get the treat of hearing the children sing all their favorite school songs and poems.

Thank you to all our Klahanie children and families on continuing to help us create an incredible children's sanctuary of learning and life exploration.  How lucky we are!
